Pet Shop Boys Cover Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" on New EP

Are the Pet Shop Boys really fans of Coldplay? A cover of “Viva La Vida” in their live shows tends to suggest they are, and the duo have taken the logical next step and recorded a version of the song. Pet Shop Boys’ version of “Viva La Vida” will appear on a new EP titled Christmas, which will be released on December 14.

Other tracks on the release include “It Doesn’t Often Snow at Christmas,” which was originally issued as a fan club-only single in 1997, and a cover version of “My Girl” by Madness. The recorded version of “Viva La Vida” will segue into “Domino Dancing,” just as it does in the band’s live shows, and a version of “All Over The World” from Yes completes the package.
