Pepper promotion enters third day as Axl finds new management

Dr Pepper’s free soda offer has given hope to legions (or least thousands) of Guns ‘n’ Roses fans. Salinger-like frontman Axl Rose has come out of hiding, offered to share something with another human being, and has now retained Irving Azoff and Andy Gould to manage his band’s carbonated resurgence. The duo, who are also organizing a “surprise” reunion of New Kids on the Block, seem to be intent on returning the late eighties to the forefront of the music scene. What this portends for the release of Chinese Democracy remains to be seen, but Azoff, who also manages the Eagles, is a good choice to cut a lucrative distribution for the elusive album. I can almost taste the free soda. [Idolator]
