Peaking Lights Announce New Album, 'Lucifer,' Due Out On June 18

Weirdo dub all-stars Peaking Lights made one of 2011's best albums, 936, and they'll attempt to top it in 2012: On June 18, the band's new label, Mexican Summer, issues Lucifer, the band's new album. Produced by Peaking Lights themselves and mixed by Al Carlson (St. Vincent, Yeasayer), the album was inspired by the birth of Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis' son, Mikko. We can hardly wait.

Like they did for 936, the band has released a Lucifer-inspired mixtape to whet appetites for the album. It's an hour long, and it's below. It's the perfect soundtrack for a walk in the sun.
