Pavement's Spiral Stairs: "I think it is inevitable that we'll make some more music"

Speaking to Australia's The Age newspaperSpiral Stairs (née Scott Kannberg) of the recently-reunited Pavement has expressed the clearest indication yet that new material from the famed 90's indie rockers may be forthcoming, somewhat contradicting previous statements from the band's camp. Although he prefaced the statement by saying that new songs would only be possible if they found the reunion enjoyabl, Kannberg seems quite confident that the reunion is the right move at the right time. Pavement have recently added some more European dates (including Spain's Primavera festival) to their already announced worldwide reunion tour for 2010. Spiral Stairs released his first solo record The Real Feel on Matador in October. [Stereogum]
