Pavement's Spiral Stairs Goes Solo, to Release Debut in October

Spiral Stairs, aka Scott Kannberg, guitarist/vocalist from the beloved indie rock O.G.s Pavement, has announced his solo debut, titled The Real Feel, which is due out on October 20 via Matador. Kannberg did a couple albums with Preston School of Industry post-Pavement, but The Real Feel is the first under his Pavement moniker.

The Real Feel features collaborations with Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew, members of Preston School and the Posies. You can download a song from the album, "Maltese Terrier," now right here.

Spiral Stairs will reportedly tour this fall.
