Baby boomers of the world, unite! For Ringo Starr's 70th birthday, a star-studded concert was held last night at NYC's Radio City Music Hall to celebrate the Beatle's quite long, storied career and life. Cause, you know, he did stuff.
After a night of playing with his All-Starr band (reports of the "No No Song" are unconfirmed), the crowd got a huge surprise when Paul McCartney stepped on stage toting his bass guitar, ready to play--what else?--but "Birthday," off the Fab Four's landmark White Album. Given that Macca's voice hasn't aged that much in the 42 years since the song was originally laid down, it sounded as good as ever... assuming you're still into the Beatles, that is. [Spin]
