"Bring me the head of Paul McCartney!" That's what absent-minded Joby Carter is saying about the wax recreation of the former Beatle's noggin, which he carelessly left on a London train last Thursday. The head, which dates back to the '60s, was set to be auctioned off for somewhere between £5,000 and £10,000, and Carter is currently offering a £2,000 reward for its safe return. Carter's observation that "since the appeal to find the head we've had more bids come in and the sell price is guaranteed to have gone up" might inspire thoughts of "publicity stunt" amongst the more zealously conspiracy-minded onlookers, but really now, even for an £,8,000 profit, would you want to be remembered to history as the guy who left Paul McCartney's head on a train?
