In a recent interview, Paul McCartney talked openly about the pending sale of Abbey Road Studios, aka the studio he made famous, saying that he hopes that some good people are able to buy it.
"There are a few people who have been associated with the studio for a long time who were talking about mounting some bid to save it," McCartney told the BBC. "I sympathise with them. I hope they can do something, it'd be great."
Apparently McCartney is unaware that he himself has enough money to just go ahead and buy Abbey Road for the listed 30 million pounds. I mean, he probably just made 10 million pounds in the time it took me to try to find a suitable symbol for pounds before resting on just writing out pounds. Paul, if you're really worried something will happen to the studio, just buy it. [Spinner]
List price is about the same amount that Mucca pried out of Paul for plopping out a kid. (Is anyone surprised that Lady Slutta pee'd it all away in 22 months).
Paul owns a house around the corner. He might want to buy Abbey Road just to keep property values up.

Yeah, he probably made 3 times that amount on the recent Beatle re-releases. That should be chump change for him.
