Several weeks ago it was announced that at this year's 56th Grammy Awards, The Beatles would be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. If there's ever been an award that was overdue, it's probably this one.
That said, the Recording Academy intends to honor The Beatles justly, announcing today that as part of an extensive tribute to the iconic band, both living members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform.
Excitingly for Sir Paul, he also is nominated for a Grammy for his work on his latest album, New.
Among the many artists set to perform on January 26th are Daft Punk, Pharrell, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, John Legend, and Kacey Musgraves.
It'll certainly be interested to see which artists are including in The Beatles tribute itself. Tune in for what's sure to feature some surprise moments.
