Patterson Hood says Hold Steady's Kubler is recuperated and ready to rock

Patterson Hood, the driving force behind the Drive-By Truckers, has offered some insights into the immediate future of one of the hardest rocking bands south of the Mason-Dixon. After taping a segment for  Austin City Limits and appearing at the ACL Festival, the Truckers are putting the finishing touches on the show for their Rock and Roll Means Well Tour, where they will share headlining duties with The Hold Steady on a series of club dates. The tour was in a small amount of jeopardy, as Tad Kubler, the bassist for the Hold Steady, had a lingering illness that forced the cancellation of the band's European tour. Hood is offering reassurance, however,  saying that Kubler is ready to go, the tour is on, and that the bands will have "some cool shit" up their respective sleeves. The Hold Steady and Drive-By Truckers will spend Halloween at the historic Ryman Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. A full itinerary is on the DBT wesbsite.

of course it is...two rockin' outfits, ready to blow apart some eardrums. both bands have great live shows, so this is a nice match-up.
