Patrick Bateman is moving to Broadway

Don't you remember finishing Bret Easton Ellis' novel American Psycho and thinking, this would be a great musical. You don't?  Maybe that's because that's an insane thought. Someone might do well to share that fact with the Johnson-Roessler Co. managment-production company the Collective and XYZ films. So powerful is their draw towards making the serial killer novel into a movie, that they have partnered together to acquire the rights for a stage production. There's no timeline set just yet, but development has just started searching for a team to write the score and the book. Do you think they'll put the scene with the hooker, the rat, and the cheese in the musical? I hope so. Also, anyone who's seen Newsies definitely knows that Christian Bale has the chops to pull off a singing Patrick Bateman.
