Paste’s Best Albums Of 2011 List Is Just As Paste-y As You’d Expect

    And thus begins the 2011 listmaking season, in which publications the world over (look for our list in December) announce what they think were the 50 albums of the last calendar year. Paste is the first big publication to let loose with their list, and it’s about exactly as offensively inoffensive as you can expect it to be. I mean, this was the publication that said She & Him made the best album of 2008. 

    Bon Iver tops Paste’s list, which isn’t so surprising, or that controversial, I suppose. You know what is? Putting Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. anywhere near any list with “best” on it. Naming Childish Gambino’s Camp as the best hip-hop album of 2011: Not a good judgement call. Read the blurbs here, and see the full list below.
