You know December is around the corner when everyone starts busting out their lists. No, not gift wish lists, not to-do lists, not freakin shopping lists. Year-end best-of lists. I don't know why I always get mad at these things. But I do. Loney, Dear? Wilco? Band of Horses? Zzzzzzzzzzz.
Jeff Klingman
That's not a very good top 10 and some bands that should be in it are way too far down the list. I'm kinda pissed at this list too, Jeff. Where the fuck is Les Savy Fav?
Andrew
23. Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil22. LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver21. Jens Lekman - Night Falls Over KortedalaI like to call that Austin L. Ray's corner

Wow. What a terrible list. Icky Thump over In Rainbows? Really?
James Buonantuono

I bet that Norah Jones at 44 was kickback for that cover she did a few months back. Although I'm kinda glad to see M.I.A. not at #1 (since everyone else will probably put her there). And are Kanye and Lifesavas the only two hip-hop acts? Do Lifesavas even count? That album was pretty gimmicky.
James
I think In Rainbows was better than Neon Bible (although I really like that album...I feel it's overrated). I can debate other placements too, but I'm just happy to see someone acknowledge Brandi Carlile's "The Story" at #41. It's definitely one of the year's best. I saw in her live two years ago at my alma mater. Her voice is tremendous. I'm surprise her audience isn't bigger. She seems tailor-mafe for the CMT and VH1 crowds.

I was happy to see 'Neon Bible' so high, thought 'In Rainbows' would be higher.
Kinda what I'd expect from Paste.
