Papercuts Signs with Sub Pop
San Francisco's Jason Quever has been releasing whispery indie pop under the name Papercuts since around 2000, and his two mostrecent records have been released by Gnomonsong, the label founded by Devendra Banhart and Vetiver's Andy Cabic. Yesterday venerable Seattle label Sub Pop announced that it would be putting out Papercuts' next album, an unnamed project due in early 2011. Cabic himself can't be too offended that Quever is taking the leap into the major leagues of indie labels: Sub-Pop released Vetiver's most recent album, Tight Knit, just last year.
Papercuts most recent release for Gnomongsong was the 7" single "White are the Waves."
