Pandora to Start Charging for Certain Services

Another one bites the dust...another free music website, that is. Pandora Radio has recently revised its rule book to state that users will be cut off at 40 hours a month unless they pay a small fee of $0.99 that triggers unlimited access. The reason behind Pandora's need to fill their cashbox lies with a recent settlement made between webcasters and SoundExchange, where rates rose on royalty payments, but not exorbitantly. Even so, Pandora needed help making up the difference by divvying their wares for free users, pay-per-month users or premium users. [Hypebot]

Hopefully they start offering Pandora on Roku...if so, then I'd probably be cool with premium services.
