What better way to pay tribute to synth pioneer Robert Moog than a festival staged in his name? The first annual Moogfest is set to take place on Oct. 29-31 in Asheville, North Carolina, with Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Big Boi, MGMT, Caribou and Jonsi already among the impressive list of names set to appear.
Now, a second wave of acts have been announced, and this is shaping up to be an entertaining weekend of analog madness. Panda Bear, RJD2, Hot Chip, Dan Deacon, Girl Talk, Dam-Funk and Matmos are among the eclectic array of Moog twiddlers who have confirmed shows at the festival.
