Other states hanging tough after hearing Jersey gets live NKOTB first

Irving Azoff might have a plan for world domination that hinges on bringing back the music of the late eighties and early nineties. The unnamed scheme came a step closer to fruition today with the announcement that the reunited New Kids on the Block will play its first concert in fourteen years in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The live set will be a part of radio station Z100’s annual Zootopia concert scheduled for May 17th. Sharing the stage with the New Kids will be Simple Plan, actual kid Miley Cyrus, and “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks. The Jonas Brothers, who will probably be reuniting some time around 2028, will also be on the bill. In related news and much to the delight nostalgic soccer moms everywhere, New Kids on the Block recently signed with Interscope Records, and is planning a record release in the immediate future. I'm embarrassingly excited about a NKOTB album and I wasn't even alive when their first was released.

Hopefully, NKOTB will prove they're no longer "Kids" with this new album. Let's pray that it breaks into the Billboard Top 100 and sells a million copies in the U.S. Now that they're older, critics and other artists look at them in a more favourable light and not in the backlash-type bashing they took in the early 90s.
