OnTour 1.0: Your iTunes Artists on Tour

Via paperthinwalls
Since our Tech Writer Eric Solomon is off vacationing in the land of bangers, commie football and music magazines who love handing out perfect scores, I've decided to chime in on this new Mac widget called OnTour 1.0. The concept is; OnTour scours your iTunes library for artists and then tells you which of those artists have upcoming tour dates in your neck of the woods. Sounds ok, but when I installed it and looked up events in New York City, it found NONE. I have over 10,000 songs (from mostly alive artists) in my iTunes library, so the fact that it found noone on tour is slightly curious.
Download it and share your successes/failures.

Commie football? Don't let them hear you say that. Though I saw some guys on the tube going to an Arsenal match, and they didn't seem that tough. Anyway, this sounds like a cool idea. As soon as I dig up $500 in change to get a Mac mini to play with I should try it out.

Hey there! Are you saying there weren't any matches with the artists in your iTunes, or there were no search results period? If it's the latter, then it's probably the city name that you typed in. To get results for NYC, you have to enter either 'New York' or 'New York, ny' - not as elegant as we hope to make it in the coming months but that might have been the issue. Hope you enjoy OnTour.
