Oliver! Star Mark Lester Says Paris Jackson Is His Daughter

There really wasn't a chance that the Michael Jackson story was going to find a quick resolution, but the latest development, complete with yet another child star, takes the much discussed paternity issue into uncharted territories. Though there have long been rumors that Jackson was not the biological father of his children, at no point was it speculated that the star of the 1968 musical Oliver! filled the role. Mark Lester, who played the lead in the film, said in an interview with News of the World that he secretly donated sperm to help Jackson have children and would be willing to take a paternity test to prove that he is the biological father of Paris Jackson. Lester should not be confused with co-star Jack Wild, who went on to star in H.R. Pufnstuf. The Lester connection looks to be strange enough, but having Wild involved would be somehow, you know, over the top. [Gigwise]

According to the AP news a British tabloid reported Saturday that the godfather of Michael Jackson's three children claims to be the father of the singer's daughter Paris. The newspaper also quotes Lester, is a 51-year-old former child star known for his lead role in the 1968 movie version of the state show "Oliver!" as saying he's willing to take a paternity test.In a video interview with Lester broadcast on the News of the World Web site, Lester said he donated his sperm at a London clinic. He said Jackson was married to Debbie Rowe at the time.
