Ol' Dirty Bastard Biopic To Feature Wu-Tang Members Playing Themselves
Earlier this spring, it was announced that a biopic about the late Wu-Tang Clan member Ol' Dirty Bastard. Titled Dirty White Boy, the film is set to star Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire) as ODB, to be written by Brent Hoff, and to be the directorial debut of Joaquin Baca-Asay.
That an ODB film even exists is exciting, but as it turns out there's another treat: actual Wu-Tang members are expected to be cast in the flick. "[We] have no desire to cast any actors as the Wu-Tang," Williams said in a recent New York Daily News article. The article goes on to explain that we can "expect to see" Wu stars RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, and Ghostface Killah to appear in Dirty White Boy alongside lesser-known Clansmen Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna. Whether there will be all-new Wu tracks in the film is yet to be determined.
