OK Go Played Underwater at Maker Faire 2010 (Video)

You rarely hear the actual music of OK Go discussed, mainly because their various stunt videos detract from the perfunctory rock songs they spew out into the world. Now, in the latest attempt to drum up publicity for the band’s latest album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, they have performed a two-song underwater concert.

This latest publicity effort was executed at Maker Faire 2010 over the past weekend, and the video above captures the backstage build up to the event. The shaky-cam footage may be difficult to watch, but you can just about grasp how they did it, with the members donning special masks that are filled with water and even a full-body water suit. One of the songs they played was, of course, “I Want You So Bad I Can't Breathe,” although the sound, as you might expect, isn't great.
