Odelay deluxe reissue on the way
We’re guessing that at some point, every landmark ‘90s album will get the deluxe reissue treatment. For Beck’s breakthrough, kaleidoscopic classic Odelay, that day will be January 29. Arriving via Geffen, Odelay – Deluxe Edition will be a two-CD set. The first CD will feature the original album, two new Dust Brothers-produced tracks from the Odelay sessions entitled “Gold Chains” and “Inferno,” and “Deadweight” from the A Life Less Ordinary soundtrack. The second disc will feature a cover of Skip James’s “Devil Got My Woman,” the Spanish language track “Burro,” the Mario Caldato co-produced “Thunder Peel,” remixes of Odelay tracks by the likes of Aphex Twin and U.N.K.L.E., and rare international b-sides.
