See NYC the Ol' Dirty way

This month marks three years since the untimely death of Russell Jones, otherwise known as Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ason Unique, Dirt McGirt, Osiris Sirus, and Big Baby Jesus. This unique map from Gridskipper pinpoints the locations of some of Dirty'''s most famous exploits in the Big Apple. A short look at the map serves to remind not only that there will never, ever be another Ol''' Dirty Bastard, but how inextricably linked he was to New York City.
I cannot believe that up until about five minutes ago I'''d almost forgotten that ODB had rapped over ''"Fantasy.''" That has to be my second favorite guest shot. Nothing will ever touch the ''"Black Mamba''" rap on the Kill Bill soundtrack. Beside the point, however- the map does a great job tracing Dirty from his Brooklyn beginnings to the height of his powers and then finally to the recording studio when the joke was over. One never wants to make someone a cautionary tale, but rap would be a lot cooler if OBD was still recording it. [Gridskipper]
