The rumors of Oasis’ premature demise have reached such a grand level that Liam Gallagher’s sister-in-law has stepped into the fray. Natalie Appleton is the wife of Liam Howlett from the Prodigy and is the sister of Gallagher’s better half, Nicole; both were in briefly-famous girl band All Saints in the ‘90s, and clearly have a thing for guys named Liam.
“Oasis will die before they split up,” she emphatically states in British tabloid newspaper the Daily Mirror. “They’re going to go on for ever until they are old men.” So it looks like Oasis really are going to become the new Rolling Stones, trading on past glories for decades to come in the live arena as their new recorded output drifts into irrelevancy.
Appleton also talked about the band’s cancellation of their show at the V Festival in England. “The rumors are absolute rubbish,” she said. “Even in his sick bed Liam was vowing to get back on stage. We were all hoping to go down to V together but sadly it didn’t happen. The guys were so devastated.”
