NYC Man Vows to See 100 Bands in 100 Days, Spends More Money on Beer in the Process

One very dedicated music fan in New York City has decided to see 100 bands in 100 days from Jan. 23 - May 2. Reviews of a band are posted on his site (http://www.100bands100days.com/) each day detailing the night's adventure. So far he's seen Heartless Bastards, Terrence Blanchard, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead..., Los Campesinos! and Fujiya and Miyagi. After that, Blitzen Trapper and The Black Lips are on tap, along with Hall & Oates and Motley Crue. As of now, he's been to 33 shows and is fighting off fatigue and a cold. Maybe he should switch all the beer he's been drinking with water or some orange juice. A total of $517 has been spent on beer and food and $353 on tickets, which hasn't hurt his wallet too badly since he's received donations from family and friends. [USA Today]

Really?

I hope he gets hit by a tour bus on his 99th show.

Ha! I wanna do this. It's a cool journalistic experiment. It's probably much easier on pockets and body to just go to SXSW and see well over 100 bands in a couple days. But this is more interesting..

I dont believe it. he is probably just a bouncer that owes tons on his credit cards.

It should be called. 800hrs of work in 100 days.
