We’ve gradually been hearing parts of Kate Bush’s Director’s Cut, which reworks songs from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes. The record is out next week, but you don’t have to wait that long to hear it, as NPR is streaming it in full right now for a limited time. It includes the long-awaited new take on “The Sensual World,” which has been re-titled “Flower of the Mountain” and now includes portions of James Joyce’s Ulysses, which is what Bush originally intended for the track. A note on the NPR site claims this album veers closer to Peter Gabriel’s work than to anything in Bush’s canon, but you can figure that our for yourself by heading over to this link.
