Waka Flocka Flame's aggressive, stripped down approach to making music has made him a polarizing figure in the hip-hop community. NPR, in its search to make everything, even the mind that brought us "Hard in Da Paint," worthy of an intellectual discussion, has pronounced that Waka is the leader of the "Hip-Hop Tea Party Movement." Citing the rebellious, anti-intellectual lyrical content and directionless anger of his music, NPR writer Jay Smooth says that backers of the political Tea Party should find a lot to like in Waka Flocka Flame. Smooth goes on to say that most music fans can appreciate the general stress relieving qualities of the music. Given Waka's potential for widespread appeal, a Palin-Flame ticket could be formidable. The only problem is that at twenty-four, Flame is still over a decade away from being a veep candidate. It's only five short years for Gucci Mane, however. [NPR]
