NPR jumps on best album bandwagon

The cool musical kids over at NPR are the latest to set up a system in which fans can vote for their favorite albums of '07. (Similar setups are also underway at Stereogum, Idolator, and surely many other sites we just haven't stumbled upon yet.) NPR's list is quite extensive, stretching from Amy Winehouse (wasn't Back to Black already out in '06, or has the Winehouse news cycle gotten so tedious that it seems she's been around forever?) all the way to Youssou N'Dour. If you're still not happy after all of those choices, there's a spot for write-ins. More details after the jump...
Voting takes place until December 17. The results will go up at the All Songs Considered website on December 20. A nice feature of the list is that there's one sample song posted for every album, which makes for a nice little source of music to listen to when you get bored with whatever you currently have in heavy rotation.

I think Back to Black came out in March in the US, but was out in the UK by fall 2006.
