Well, 2013 is off to a stupid start. FACT (via Mixmag) reports a new website calling itself EDM Casting is pitching a new reality show centered around the exciting (read: potentially lucrative/possibly unintentionally hilarious) world of electronic dance music competition. Blame Doron Ofir, the company behind Jersey Shore, for stepping in to fill this void no one knew existed.
Interested parties are invited to fill out a questionnaire online. Sample questions include: "Describe your personality (the good and the bad)," "BRAG! What are your best assets? Physical, material and social." There is also quite a lengthy "Appearance Release" that, among other things, probably asks applicants to sign away the rights to their dignity, soul, and legitimacy both as a "creative performer" and as a human being.
