Now 30 Claims Top Spot on Billboard 200, Somehow

After moving a stunning 146,00 units, Now 30 , the 30th iteration of what amounts to a 15 song CD of the top 15 songs on Billboard the week the CD is burned, claimed the top spot on Billboards Top 200 album chart. How that is possible, I will never know, since you can essentially buy the tracks individually for weeks before they ever come out as a Now disc, which would seem to make them useless.

Less head-scratching is the number two album, which is Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana soundtrack, that moved 139,000 copies. Keri Hilson's In A Perfect World... , after being delayed for almost a year, moved 94,000 copies, and came in at number 4.

Jim Jones Pray IV Reign also hit the top ten, clocking in at number 9 with 43,000 copies sold, far less than what he probably imagined. [ Billboard ]

I think the U.K. is up to some ridiculous number now. Can't remember at the moment. Much prefer those versions anyway.
