After years spent in development, and after many rumors, a Miles Davis biopic seems to be the next big musician biopic coming to multiplexes near you. The biopic is slated to be directed by George Tillman Jr, director of the Notorious B.I.G. biopic, Notorious.
Unlike the long-rumored project starring Don Cheadle, this biopic has full rights to Davis' music, and is going to be based on Dark Magus: The Jekyll and Hyde Life of Miles Davis, by Davis' oldest son, Gregory. The film will cover Davis' landmark albums, and his landmark womanizing. [Guardian]
