The rumors aren't true. Though there were whispers abound that Radiohead will be releasing their seventh studio effort on a large indie label, which would have been a major nose-thumbing to the majors, Radiohead are staying put. They have stayed with the house they began with in 1994, signing with Warner/Chappel publishing for the release of their next record, anticipated for release in early 2007. Warner/Chappel's Richard Manners says he's thrilled to still be in the "Radiohead business." Which is just awful, really.

signing to extend their publishing deal is hardly the same thing as deciding which label they're going to release their next record with. they've not yet re-upped with EMI, we'll see if it happens or not. |
