The Northside Festival, a four-day event curated by The L Magazine, will celebrate its third anniversary this June 16 to 19 on the streets of Brooklyn. And like previous years, it will feature more than just music from a slew of indie acts. You can also expect to see numerous independent film screenings while neighborhood art galleries will host free events. Additionally, there is a new component of the festival called "Ideas" that is a series of panel discussions on various topics related to the music industry.
In terms of the music, Beirut is obviously the biggest name announced thus far. But the festival will also include performances by Twin Sister, Deer Tick, Allo Darlin', Javelin, Ava Luna, Delicate Steve, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!, and Gabriel and the Hounds. You can expect that more acts will be added to the lineup in the coming months along with an announcement from us, Prefix, regarding our own curated show as part of the Northside Festival.
Four-day, all-ages badges are on sale now for a limited-time price of $60. Individual tickets to the all-ages Beirut show at McCarren Park on June 17 are available for $25 in advance or $30 day of the show. Head to the Northside Festival website for more information.
