Fest mania: Noise Pop adds more bands, visuals

As the sixteenth incarnation of the San Francisco-based Noise Pop Festival gets closer, its lineup gets more and more intriguing. The fest takes over the Bay Area February 26 through March 2. Since last we told you that the likes of Mountain Goats, Magnetic Fields, Gutter Twins, and Cursive would be headlining this year, more acts have been added to the bill. Those include Blitzen Trapper, Kelly Stoltz, the Walkmen, Helio Sequence, MSTRKRFT, A Place to Bury Strangers, the Broken West, Holy Fuck, and the Dodos. Noise Pop will also screen films including the Darby Crash/Germs biopic What We Do is Secret, the Wesley Willis documentary Wesley Willis’s Joy Rides, and Jamie Kennedy’s exploration of the increasingly vitriolic world we live in, Heckler. And Noise Pop will host an exhibition of Autumn de Wilde’s photography of the late Elliott Smith. For everything else you might need to know about Noise Pop, head to the fest’s website .
