NOFX Putting Out An '80s Hardcore Covers EP
Pop punk veterans NOFX are issuing an EP that covers ‘80s hardcore songs. There’s very little information on the record, other than the band promised it two years ago and it’s out Aug. 2, but I guess it’ll sound pretty authentic? NOFX have been at this sort of thing for quite a while. The band is also prepared to release their self-proclaimed “fucking terrible” original recordings onto the world with the Thalidomine Child EP which excavates the band’s 1984 material – to put that in perspective, the band’s first studio album didn’t make it out on a label till 1991. This all seems like it might be interesting for historian purposes, but not much else. [CoS]
