Noel Gallagher Says He Doesn’t Want To Make An Album As Bad As ‘Be Here Now’

After a successful 2011 that saw him release his first solo album and a 2012 that’s so far seen him tour extensively and perform at many festivals across the world, Noel Gallagher is planning on some time off in 2013. However, that doesn’t he’s taking a rest from making controversial statements about his former outfit.

In an interview with XFM, Noel said he is taking time off in order to prevent another Be Here Now, the much maligned third Oasis record, from happening again.

“I’m taking a well earned break after this,” he said. “Why mess with brilliance? I’d only fuck it up. Look what it did to the aftermath of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ Shit on it! ‘Be Here Now’?”

He continued: “the sound of a bunch of guys, on coke, in the studio, not giving a fuck. All the songs are really long and all the lyrics are shit and for every millisecond Liam is not saying a word, there’s a fucking guitar riff in there in a Wayne’s World stylie.”

This comes on the heels of him saying that he wouldn’t form Oasis even if the world’s starving children depended on it. Christmas at the Gallagher house should be as interesting as ever.
