Noel Gallagher Channeling Fleetwood Mac And Jefferson Airplane For Album Title

It’s been a pretty big year for Fleetwood Mac. First, the season finale of South Park essentially hinged on its use of “Landslide,” and now Noel Gallagher is drawing inspiration from the band’s original name, Pete Green’s Fleetwood Mac, for his solo record Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. Lest Stevie Nicks and company get all the love, Gallagher also said that the album’s name was inspired by the Jefferson Airplane track “High Flying Bird.” He stopped short, however, of predicting whether all this seventies influence will make your parents find the album “groovier” than his releases with Oasis.
