Recent Oasis news has found Noel Gallagher inspiring Lars Ulrich to give up cocaine and his younger brother Liam calling Radiohead and Coldplay fans “ugly and boring.” The older Gallagher sibling has also found time to swell the ranks of celebrity bloggers, and is keeping Oasis fans abreast of news from the band’s current U.S. tour. Noel informs us that Jimi Hendix and Hawkwind are in heavy rotation on the tour bus, but he also talks about Barack Obama’s speech at last week’s Democratic convention. “Managed to catch that Barack Obama's speech to the Democratic rally," muses Noel. “Impressive stuff. Spellbinding in fact. Wish he was one of ours.” Noel, who famously endorsed Tony Blair during his rise to become British Prime Minister, also added: “Why do Americans believe they're electing the president of THE WORLD though?”
Meanwhile, Noel’s brother Liam has been talking about his desire to move to New York. “That’s the next step for me,” said the Oasis singer, who plans to move when his kids finish high school. “And no, I'm not going to do acting or any of that shit,” he added, to huge sighs of relief. [NME]
