Some well–documented problems have caused the delicate relationship between Oasis siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher to boil over in recent weeks. Liam has been making his feeling known via Twitter, while Noel has taken to the Oasis MySpace blog to pen a furious slapback to his singing brother.
“We speak at bad times for the Oasis tour,” Noel writes, while traveling through South American with the band. “We are a rudderless ship at the minute. And there’s a fuckin’ shit-storm on the horizon. I guess all will be revealed in due course. Strange atmosphere. I wouldn’t mind but we’re in South America! Playing massive stadiums and there’s a bit too much hrmph-ing going on for my liking. Shame really.”
So many fights have erupted between the brothers over the years that it’s difficult to gauge how critical this latest scrap is going to be. At least the Gallaghers are unlikely to contract swine flu on their visit, as Noel blogs: “Got myself a pig flu mask and I must say, I quite like it. Makes one feel like a James Bond baddy. And look like an evil genius. No wonder Mike Jackson wears ’em all the time.”
