Noah Lennox Talks About Animal Collective's 'Fall Be Kind'

A few samples from Animal Collective’s Fall Be Kind EP can be heard here, and the band members have been talking to ClashMusic about their newest release. The EP is released at the back end of their most successful year to date, which saw the lauded Merriweather Post Pavilion reach the upper echelons of the Billboard chart.

 

"I mean, we were really pleased with the record, but then we’ve been pleased with records we’ve made before, but that kind of chart success came out of nowhere," Noah Lennox said. He added that he was “really blown away by the amount of success that we have had. I can’t quite figure out."

 

On Fall Be Kind, Lennox said: "They were the songs we didn’t think worked once we had done the initial run-through – they were the songs which we didn’t think worked as well as a group as the others. But they worked really well as their own little group.” Fall Be Kind is released by Domino on Nov. 23 as a digital download and Dec. 15 in physical formats.
