Some stories really are just too beautiful and strange to be true. Despite previous denials, umors had been floating around the Internet about the super secret "Project Pink" undertaken by Microsoft that would have ended with the unveiling of a Zune Phone at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. Analysts are now saying, however, that the project will not deal with hardware but instead allow Zune content on mobile devices, opening up a vast market for expansion. While this might be a good move for Microsoft in their dogged quest for relevance in the media market, it's ultimately deflating when realizing that the ultimate Bizarro World moment of pulling out a Zune Phone in a sea of iPhones will never come to pass.
