No New Oasis Material For Five Years

Oasis fans are going to have to be patient in their wait for new material, as Noel Gallagher tells Q magazine, "“By the time we make another record we’ll be five years older.”

Noel insists he hasn't hit any kind of inspirational dead end, "I’ve got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great, but they’re not Oasis songs." So fans can probably look forward to some solo releases, Noel adds, "Hopefully at the end of this tour I’m going to go and do something for myself...It’d be really interesting for fans of the band to see how each individual makes up the whole.”

Noel assures his fans that this talk of going solo doesn't necessarily spell the end for Oasis,  “I don’t think it’ll affect what Oasis do. Liam, on the other hand, will f***ing freak out." Adding further fire to the never-ending Gallagher brother feud, Noel continues  “(Liam) has never seen my little lad, just pictures. To a stranger it sounds ludicrous, but you wouldn’t have him in the house if he spoke to you the way he speaks to me and my family. He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy." Then, in what probably amounts to my favorite Noel quote ever, he adds, "He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.” Good to know that Noel, and his unique way with words, will still be about, even if Oasis are taking a bit of a breather.

This is great news as far as I'm concerned. Noel is far and away the best part of the band.
