No I.D. Producing All Of Common’s New Album

You see how excited Common is in the picture to left from last year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival? Good. Because that’s exactly how we felt when we learned that fellow Chicago native No I.D. is producing the entirety of the rapper’s forthcoming album, The Dreamer, The Believer. At least, that’s what Com told MTV in an interview today. Of course, we were just as excited over the weekend when his collaboration with Nas, “Ghetto Dreams,” leaked to the web.

Apparently that was the first song Com and No I.D. recorded for The Dreamer, The Believer, which just might reinstate that fire under the rapper that’s been missing since 2008’s Universal Mind Control. For reference, No I.D. produced the majority of two of the rapper’s best efforts, 1994’s Resurrection and 1997’s One Day It’ll All Make Sense.

    Listen to “Ghetto Dreams” below.
