Nirvana's seminal sophomore album, Nevermind, celebrates its 20th anniversary next month. And aside from making twenty-somethings like me feel, well, kind of old, the anniversary has inspired the band's two surviving members to collaborate on a celebration of the album's birthday. Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl along with the album's producer, Butch Vig, will sit down with Jon Stewart for a Q&A session on SirusXM's Lithium channel (34).
They're calling it SiriusXM's Town Hall with Nirvana and it will run for two hours on Saturday, Sept. 24 starting at 8 p.m. EST. Grohl, Novoselic, and Vig will answer questions from the studio audience and callers from across the country. The Lithium channel will turn into Nevermind Radio starting Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. and will feature all Nirvana, all the time, with celebrity interviews, live performances, rarities, and full albums to be played. It ends Sept. 28 at noon.
