Ninja Tune To Launch Audio Manipulation App Later This Summer

British label Ninja Tune are preparing to release a free iPhone and iPad app called Ninja Jamm. According to the label’s website, the app will “let you take music from the Ninja Tune catalog and beyond and remix / play / tweak / effect / bend / fold / shuffle / spindle / mutilate the sound to create your own versions of tracks.”

The label is gradually announcing the tracks that will be available for manipulation through the app when it launches later this summer. So far cuts from Ninja Tune regulars Bonobo, Shuttle and Mr Scruff have all been confirmed. So has a track from Martyn, which probably means that Big Dada and Brainfeeder artists will also be included on the app.

Further information is available at the Ninja Jamm blog, and the video below shows Ninja Tune’s Amon Tobin putting the app through its paces. [Fact]
