Ninja Tune Celebrates 20 Years with Massive Box Set, Live Shows

The U.K. label that kickstarted the careers of artists like Amon Tobin, Roots Manuva and DJ Vadim is turning 20 and doing plenty to blow out the candles. Ninja Tune, founded by Jon More and Matt Black (a.k.a. Coldcut), is not only releasing a sizable box set aptly dubbed Ninja Tune XX on September 20, but the pair is planning several live shows for the fall in global locales like Los Angeles, Paris and of course London on October 2 where Coldcut themselves will be performing alongside labelmates. 

As for the XX set, get ready to pull out your drool cups and wallets, Ninja Tune fans as it will be presented as a three-volume collection packaged into a single, hardback box consisting of six CDs (two of which are exclusive to the box), six 7-inch records of exclusive 'choons, a Ninja Tune family tree poster designed by Nigel Peake, a poster of the case’s sleeve art and a sheet of Ninja Tune 20th anniversary stickers. In addition, there's reading material as Ninja Tune XX will also include the hardcover book, Ninja Tune: 20 Years of Beats & Pieces, named after Coldcut's album of the same name. 

The £80.00 box, which will include music from the aforementioned artists along with Kid Koala, Mr Scruff, The Bug and Bonobo as well a ton of remixes, is available to pre-order at the Ninjashop now. [via Exclaim]
