Nicki Minaj began discussing her sophomore album/Pink Friday follow-up this past September, when she revealed that her crazy male alter ego, Roman Zolanski, will be featured heavily on the project. That's all we knew at that point, but things have changed thanks to a recent interview with her label boss, Young Money co-CEO Birdman.
He told Billboard that her sophomore album should be out in the first quarter of 2012 and that she's been in the studio as of late. He also notes that Minaj's lead single from the album could be out as soon as the before the New Year. Here's a quote from the interview:
"We're really thinking it out. But she (Minaj) [is] in the studio, and we're looking real soon, because she's ready to go and we're ready to go with her."
