Nick Jr.'s Yo Gabba Gabba hosts a bunch of indie bands

Nick Jr.'s Yo Gabba Gabba, the show co-created by Aquabats member Christian Jacobs, has announced a whole slew of musical guests for its show. In addition to past guests The Aquabats, The Shins, and Shiny Toy Guns, this season of the show will feature The Ting Tings, Ladytron, Datarock, MGMT, Mates of State, Hot Hot Heat, The Roots, and Mixmaster Mike. Jimmy Eat World will appear today performing "Beautiful Day," and The Ting Tings are performing Altered Images' "Happy Birthday." So you know those kids who were sneaking into Hold Steady concerts when they were 14? This is apparently where they're born. Check out videos of Jimmy Eat World and The Ting Tings at Stereogum.

adorable! reminds me of this show pancake mountain, where they have a bunch of indie bands performing for little 7 year old hipsters in the making. I have to say, seeing ted leo singing "the wheels on the bus" was one of the greatest things ever.

Chicago has a really similar show called Chic-a-go-go. Although, it's probably a lot weirder than Yo Gabba Gabba.
