If you read this and wonder why you're not a songwriter, composer, screenwriter and novelist, like Nick Cave is, the answer is because he is Nick Cave and you are some dude sitting in front of your computer in awe of how prolific Cave manages to be. Cave's second novel, The Death of Bunny Munro, is set to hit bookstores this fall from Faber & Faber.
The novel is set in Cave's current home of Brighton, England, and has received high praise from Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh. Welsh said, "Put Cormac McCarthy, Franz Kafka and Benny Hill together in a Brighton seaside guesthouse and they might just come up with Bunny Munro." Sounds good right?
Cave also scored The Road, the post-apocalyptic drama starring Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron, coming out this October.
oh hurray! this post made my literary day. His first book was pretty effing great, so I can't wait to read this one. And scoring "The Road"? If his music for the film is anything like the storyline...that's going to be amazing!
