Nick Cave Makes AudioBooks Seem Cool (Video)

· by

Nick Cave’s novel, The Death of Bunny Monroe, is in stores now, and the author spoke to Wired about its unique release during a recent visit to New York. Anyone who believes Cave is a luddite should hold that thought—he claims to have written some of the book on an iPhone and is attempting to revolutionize the audiobook format with this release.

Cave and Warren Ellis wrote a special score for the audiobook, and the singer admits in this interview that he is a big fan of the format. If you purchase the Bunny Monroe iPhone app (for a cool $25) it will allow you to toggle back and forth between a text and audio version, allowing readers to switch over to Cave’s voice at the exact point where they left off in the book.
